Please read Teddies Terms and Conditions, These conditions are in place to make it fair for Clients, Candidates and the agency.

 Terms And Conditions 

The Equality Act 2010

It is illegal in the UK to discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, belief, sex, or disability. Teddies website is accessible to all users without bias.

Registration

To register with Teddies Agency, you must be over 18 years old. Please see our Policy Notice for more info.

Clients’ Personal Information

Teddies collects personal data relevant to your needs, including contact details, ethnicity, religion, dietary and medical information. You can choose whether to share this info, which helps us find the right candidate. Children's details are abbreviated: B for boys, G for girls. Any personal data shared during interviews is not Teddies' responsibility.

Candidates’ Personal Information

We collect candidates' contact details, personal data about ethnicity, medical history, and dietary requirements, an updated CV, DBS, passport/driving license, and three references. All data is confidential and only shared with clients with your permission.

Children’s Personal Information

We prioritize protecting children's personal data as per the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR.

Restricting Data Collection

You can restrict data collection by leaving boxes unchecked when filling forms or contacting us via email.

Access to Personal Data

You have the right to request access to your data. We may verify your identity before sharing.

Teddies is not responsible for privacy protection on external websites; read their policies.

The data is password-protected and securely stored. Access to data requires identity verification.

Client Fees

1. Permanent Nanny Placement (Full-Time or Part-Time)

  • For families hiring a permanent nanny, our placement fee is:
    three percent of the nanny’s annual gross salary
     
  • Payable only after successful placement
     
  •  Includes recruitment, vetting, contract guidance, and ongoing support.

For example, if your nanny’s salary is £30,000 per year, the agency fee at 3% would be £900.00.

2. Temporary Nanny Placement

  • If you need a nanny for a short-term contract (e.g., holiday cover, maternity cover, or temporary childcare), our fees are:
    £25 per day or 15% of the total salary
     
  • Minimum booking period applies (e.g., one week)

3. Night Nanny Placement

  • A night nanny provides overnight care for new-borns and young babies, helping parents with sleep routines and night feeds. Our placement fee is:
    £25 per night for temporary bookings
     
  • Three percent of the nanny’s salary for long-term placements
     Flexible booking options available (e.g., weekly, or monthly)

4. Mother’s Help Placement

  • A mother’s help is an entry-level childcare provider who assists with childcare and household tasks under parental supervision. Placement fees are:
    three percent of the annual gross salary
     
  •  More affordable than a full-time nanny
     
  •  Ideal for families needing extra support with young children.

5. Junior Nanny Placement

  • A junior nanny is a newly qualified or less experienced nanny looking to gain professional childcare experience. Our fees are:
    three percent of the annual gross salary
     
  •  Suitable for families looking for budget-friendly childcare
     
  •  Includes full background checks and agency support. 

How to Pay

Once we place your nanny, you can pay via bank transfer, credit card, or direct debit.

 

A fee applies to data removal requests made after three years. Invoices are due within seven days, with a 1.5% weekly late fee applied to overdue amounts.

Invoice

Invoices are emailed within 48 hours after a candidate accepts the position. Payment is due within seven days.

Cancellation Rights

Clients can cancel registration, but the fee is non-refundable. Cancellations after invoice issuance incur a 2% fee.

Refunds

Refunds are available under certain conditions, including candidate withdrawal within 14 days of commencement.

Replacements

Teddies offers a free replacement if a nanny cannot start or will refund a percentage.

References

Candidates must provide minimum two job references. References will be confirmed verbally and then provided in writing to clients.

 

 

 

Interviews

The agency emails interview confirmations. Candidates receive client's contact details. The agency is not liable for any damages or expenses during interviews.

Position Offers

Do not offer positions without Teddies’ approval. Unauthorized offers result in fees.

Contracts

Teddies provides a contract template. Contracts are between clients and candidates only.

Reward Voucher

Referral vouchers are granted for successful candidate referrals, except for referrals associated with vendors of harmful products.

Marketing

OPT out of receiving information by contacting us.

Social Media

Client preferences are shared without revealing confidential information. Notify us if you prefer not to advertise on social media.

Text Message Group

WhatsApp is used for client communication unless they choose to opt out.

 

The Agency reserves the right to terminate services if the Client breaches these Terms and Conditions.

 

 

 

 

 Payments & Fees

 Payments for advertising services are due monthly in advance.

 

 Staffing service fees are payable upon confirmation of an emergency staff booking or upon hiring a permanent helper.

 

 All payments must be made via the agreed-upon payment method. Late or missed payments may result in suspension of services.

5. Liability & Responsibilities

 The Agency does not guarantee the availability of staff or the success of advertising.

 

 The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in hiring staff.

 

 The Agency is not liable for any disputes, damages, or losses resulting from the use of our services.

6. Cancellation & Termination

 Clients may cancel their advertising subscription at any time, but no refunds will be provided for partial months.

 

 The Agency reserves the right to terminate services if the Client breaches these Terms and Conditions. 

Amendments

Teddies Agency reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.

 

Teddies Agency Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Agency")

  Definitions

  • "The Nursery": The client engaging the Agency for staffing services.
  • "The Candidate": Any staff member introduced by the Agency to the Nursery.
  • "Permanent Placement": A Candidate hired by the Nursery on a direct employment contract.

 Service Agreement

By engaging the Agency’s services, the Nursery agrees to these Terms and Conditions, which apply to all staffing placements.

 Permanent Placement Fees

  • A one-time recruitment fee applies, calculated as [3%] of the Candidate’s annual salary.
  • The fee is payable within 14 days of the Candidate’s start date.
  • If payment is delayed, a 2% late fee per month applies.

 Candidate Suitability & Compliance

  • The Agency ensures all Candidates meet necessary legal and qualification requirements, including DBS checks and reference verification.
  • The Nursery is responsible for conducting its own final compliance checks before employment.

 Cancellations & Refunds

  Permanent Placement Refund Policy

  • If a Candidate leaves within: 
    • 4 weeks50% refund or free replacement.
    • 8 weeks25% refund or discounted replacement.
    • After 8 weeks → No refund.

Liability & Responsibilities

  • The Agency is not liable for any loss, damage, or misconduct caused by the Candidate.
  • The Nursery accepts full responsibility for supervising and managing the Candidate.

 Confidentiality

  • Both parties must keep business and Candidate details confidential.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by UK law. Agreement Acceptance

By engaging the Agency’s services, the Nursery accepts these Terms and Conditions.
